The Horn Heritage Triangle

A 3-Day Expedition: Caves, Coasts, and Highlands

Overview This 3-day journey is an immersive dive into the Somaliland Golden Triangle, one of Africa’s most stable and culturally rich hidden gems. From the neon-lit money markets of Hargeisa to the 10,000-year-old galleries of Laas Geel, the Ottoman "ghost" ruins of Berbera, and the misty "British" highlands of Sheikh, you will traverse a landscape where deep antiquity meets modern Somali hospitality.

The Experience

Archaeological Wonders: Stand before the vivid polychrome paintings of Laas Geel and the secluded Dhagax Khoure, widely considered the most pristine Neolithic art galleries on the continent.

Coastal Heritage: Wander the atmospheric ruins of Old Berbera, where salt-worn coral-stone architecture reflects centuries of Arab, Ottoman, and British maritime trade.

Nomadic Heartland: Connect with pastoral families along the desert roads, gaining a rare, unscripted glimpse into the resilient traditional Somali way of life.

Alpine Escape: Experience the surprising chill of the Sheikh Mountains, where the terrain shifts from arid scrub to verdant forests and historic colonial-era retreats.

The Intellectual West: Explore Borama, Somaliland’s "City of Education," nestled in the lush green hills near the Ethiopian border.
